par Ouest France - Wibbitz
Mediterranean Diet Ranked No. 1 for 2019 The diet beat out 40 other eating plans in rankings from 'US News and World Report.' Among subcategories, Mediterranean was named the best diet for "healthy eating" and is the "easiest diet to follow." Numerous studies show the diet has been linked to stronger bones and a longer life as well as increased hearth health and weight loss. It also reduces the risk of high cholesterol, dementia, diabetes and memory loss. The diet consists of plant-based meals along with fruits, beans, seeds and nuts. It also primarily stays away from refined sugar and flour. Instead of fats such as butter, the Mediterranean diet places a big emphasis on extra virgin olive oil.
